Frequently Asked Questions

Why Should I use a Security Consultant?

Large and small companies with internal security and loss prevention Directors use outside consultants for a variety of reasons:

  • Internal professionals are focused on their own facility or industry and often are involved in day to day administration of long established policies and equipment. Consultants can objectively evaluate these processes and offer unbiased opinions and suggestions for change and can provide cost justification and ROI within existing budgets or assist in the development of new budgets.
  • Consultants have broad and specialized knowledge spanning many industries and security disciplines. Routine solutions from other industries may prove revolutionary in your environment.
  • Cross-Discipline knowledge and experience sharing.
  • Consultants are constantly reviewing new products, literature, government and industry security alerts, best practices, policies and procedures and codes.

What can I expect from a Security Consultant?

  • Based upon an agreed upon scope of assignment, we will provide a written report corresponding to that agreement.

How do I protect the confidentiality of information?

  • A non-disclosure and confidentiality agreement is part of the agreement that we will enter into for consulting services.

How do you charge for your services?

  • Consulting assignments are billed for by the hour. Hourly rates may vary based upon the scope and term of the agreement.
  • We are available on retainer for On-Call consulting when there is no specific project at hand. This proves beneficial for small and large companies, architects and Engineers who may need intermittent services.
  • Expert testimony and Depositions are charged for hourly and are paid for in advance.
  • Travel and Per Diem expenses are paid for by the client.
